We had just arrived in the Crest, and the teens were starving. They're always starving, mind you. I was kinda hungry too, as was fellow Yelper Dee M, who was staying in the same hotel and pairing up with us for this beach break. God love her, two teens driving me crazy, and she just kept feeding me her Patreon punch, which is another story... Pizza was easiest, and both Dee & the motel staff had recommended A & LP Foods. They're on the opposite end of the island, so we were warned that delivery would not be quick. That's OK. We ordered three pizzas - a "meat lovers", a pepperoni & anchovy (this apparently is the new 'trend' amongst teens and young adults) and a sausage & mushroom. Our order was taken quickly, they clearly were busy and a bit brusk, understandable given the season and time of our order. About an hour later, our very nice delivery driver arrived with HUGE pizzas - New York Style huge. As in, lots of pizza. As in, even with two very big and hungry teens we had leftovers for the next day. Pizza for breakfast, everyone! We were all hungry by then, so we set out on the deck overlooking the beach and dove in. It was very good pizza, definitely New York Style with foldable crust and a thick slab of mozzarella...mmm. Generous amount of toppings too. It's not cheap, three big pizzas and a 2 liter soda was north of $80 including tip. It's also the Shore in high season AND the pizzas were huge. At home this would have been more like 5 pizzas worth of food, and that also would have been around $80 with tip. NOTE: In the shoulder season they do not have pizzas during weekdays, this is after Labor Day and before Memorial Day. We've ordered hoagies from them before, they were good, also generously sized, it was a while ago so I don't remember more but I did manage to post a picture or two. We'll order again.
