this place has great and delicious food in general but they have the BEST pupusas in Edmonton no doubt, asides from the food the service is the greatest, and the music and the atmosphere feels really comfortable, me and my friends became regulars because everything about this place is great Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: CA$10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Cheese Pupusas with Curtido and Avocado Sauce

I am a Local Hispanic, (read for a complete opinion)In these ratings and in these searches for: * Edmonton PUPUSAS * Edmonton PUPUSA * Best Pupusas in EdmontonI Have PERSONALLY met and KNOW Most of the People that Operate and COOK the pupusas at the following places to find pupusas in Edmonton. Your search for them has missed one more place and here they are: (in ALPHABETICAL Order) * Acajutla Restaurant * EL Rancho Restaurant * Mama Menche's / mamamenches Restaurant * Paraiso Tropical (usually only available on weekends call ahead to make sure)Now onto the Ever so Important REVIEW:PUPUSAS, as you might see on VIDEOS on how they are made are very sensitive to the Actual TECHNIQUE of the cooks who make them. Personally I believe that energies and moods also play a role on how delicious they taste when they are being cooked.I have eaten PUPUSAS in all of the Places that I have listed. and will share my reviews with you, they all have their unique features. Taste, Speed of Service, Health Choice, etc.Paraiso Tropical: (3/5 stars for me) Their Pupusas in the past have been generic, I will go as far as to say that they have purchased pre-made pupusas which have been frozen and heated them up on their stoves and served them. Now the reason I rank them 3 of 5 stars is because their prices are the lowest and they are very quick to serve. (health wise...uhm I would pass) quick take out orders and usually have other Latin Foods to Group in the meal.Mamamenches: (4/5 stars for me) This Authentic Salvadorean restaurant was NOBLY Named after a family members name from El Salvador. Depending on the Mood of the COOK this place serves good pupusas made from scratch wait time varies on how busy they are. They are generally consistent. Place is family operated and has a good central location, parking can be challenging, but for a pick up/take out, it will get you what you need.El Rancho: (4/5 stars for me) Possibly the Fanciest Place in town to Eat Pupusas, I believe they have up to Three different people that prepare and cook these. Generally these are the SMALLEST pupusas in town, but they PACK it in. so don't let the size fool you. I will go as far as to say that these are by a good 1/2 mile the Healthiest pupusas you can eat in Edmonton, now because of the different techniques that prep them, I BELIEVE they have CALCULATED Portions for Preparation, and thus the inconsistency in Form, Shape, and Execution. Price wise they are along the top. Ambiance is nice, Service is Clean and Semi-professional. This is the place where Non-Latinos or Latinos that think they have money go to Eat Latin Food.ACAJUTLA Restaurant: (5/5 for me) The place where you will have the largest Latino Clientele at any given time. Its located along 107 ave, so you are bound to run into a homeless person from time to time, just skip the change and make your way in(you are better off tipping your waitress). The ambiance is Casual and decor is from Latin America. Their Waitresses are Friendly and Efficient and Not an eyesore (anymore). What I like about these Pupusas is their CONSISTENCY and SIZE. 9 of the 10 times I have ordered in the past, their Pupusas are The biggest, and depending on is making them the toppings on the inside well proportioned. Another PLUS is that the Curtido or the Salsa is PLENTIFUL. Wether you are Dinning in or Taking Out, you are sure to be full with a few pupusas I usually order 3 for Me. and 2 for my Wife* but am sure a Professional Pupusa Eater could eat up to 5.I have made this RATING as IMPARTIAL as possible. I sincerely hope you Get to ENJOY Real Latin Food. I know what it is like to Search for PUPUSAS.. oh and By the WAY one last thing...IF YOU ARE READING THIS AND WANT TO EAT AND ITS A MONDAY, you are out of LUCK for some Strange Reason There is nowhere to EAT Pupusas on a Monday in the City of EDMONTON. Could mean Opportunity for one place 1/7 days is only 14% chance.
