Order the menu of Chinese cuisine at this cafe. The recipe for success of Babaji Ka Thullu Cafe is its nicely cooked turkey, bhaji pav and chaat. Most visitors state that the staff is gracious. The good service displays a high level of quality at this place. You will pay democratic prices for your meal.
> Cuisine
Roti, paratha, paneer, a few veg dishes and thats about it. The tikkis n startes are so-so and none of the dishes have any authentic tastes except rice and roti (sarcasm!).
> Ambiance
Road side place with 3 tables n plastic chairs. Mosquito bites are one problem. The decor is a line of bikes on the road running by you (sarcasm again!)
> Service
Being in a college area added with cheap prices makes it pretty leavily packed. Orders are thus delayed. There is no service as such.. but they do provide home delivery. The managers is friendly and asks you to rate them on zomato.
As we were near to the cafe, we thought of grabbing a quick bite.
I dont want to talk anything about its Ambiance as it doesnt have one. Its a very small place having two small tables inside and the chat-waala has its business table set at the entrance.
We settled done with sev puri and pav bhaji. Sev puri was quite sad. It was flat puri's topped with boiled potato cubes, chopped tomatoes and funny-smelling chopped onions with chat sauces. The sev was dull and soggy and absolutely no balance in the taste whatsoever. We cut short our order from two pav bhaji's to one after our sad encounter with the sev puri. Pav bhaji when arrived, looked good with dark red colored bhaji topped with a spoonful of butter. Pav however, was very small. I was quite pleased with its taste and so we ended up ordering extra pav and another plate of pav bhaji.
We realized that the emptiness in the eatery was due to the fact that their business runs mainly on home-delivery. I believe its a good bet in terms of home-delivery rather than dropping by, as the place need some serious cleaning. Dirty tables, chairs and menu cards kinda turns off one's mood.
To sum, average food, reasonable rate. We left the eatery after paying a bill of 145. I am not sure if I will visit the place again. But, if I am around and craving for pav bhaji, then I might.
