I was here on a work trip, didnt try the drinks but the chicken parm sandwich was very tasty, as were the fries. Appreciate the good service and pleasant atmosphere. If sitting at the bar bring a hoodie, theres an AC vent nearby Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Bernard's Gastropub & Eatery provided my friend and I with one of the best, if not the best, dining experience we've ever had in a restaurant in Roanoke, Virginia. The entrance to the restaurant is small, yet it is very attractive with a beautiful sign of the restaurant, attractive windows, and two outdoor tables with red hot umbrellas to provide shade to the customers who would like to enjoy their meal outdoors. It also had a homemade standing sign with the special of the Day written in color chalk. All these details, plus their elegant and outstanding website was a preview of the owners love for exquisite food, magnificent ambiance, and excellent customer service. As we entered the restaurant we encountered a welcome sign and a lovely antique furniture next to the host table. The hardwood floors, the beautiful and comfortable wood tables and chairs, the wall decorations, the televisions, and the wonderfully place lights, including the blue lights, gave the place a relaxing yet majestic ambiance that put you in the mood for a yet to come dining experience of a lifetime. Our waitress Savannah, was superb and was the perfect example of the personification of what customer service is all about. For the main meal I ordered the Steakhouse Burger. With brown sugar candied bacon, cheddar, lettuce, and tomatoes. It came with fries and a piece of dill pickle. What can I say. The meal came out after an appropriate waiting time and was cooked just wonderful. Everything was fresh and well prepared and cooked. The hamburger buns were soft and fresh, as well as the burger patty. And the bacon; the bacon flavor was out of this world! My compliments to the chefs. For dessert I had a Banana and Butterscotch Pudding. It was put together when othered, and looked and tasted just divine. The placed was filling up quickly, even though it was a Tuesday evening, and as other guests arrived they were asked if they had reservations. This again, the perfect sign of a desirable restaurant. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone living in Roanoke or just visiting, and I'm such you will have a one of a kind dining experience. One that you will never forget and always cherish.
