Delicious home made ice cream, had the blackberry chocolate chip and it was phenomenal. Huge amount of ice cream and good prices, they also have a nice coffee place.

This place has hands-down the best coffee flavored ice cream I have had in my entire life. I don't even like ice cream and I will order this by the pint so I always have it in my freezer. The only bad part about this place is they don't have this flavor on hand every time I go in but hey we don't get everything we want in life.

I stopped over here after learning that their ice cream is homemade. The business is small, has an outdoor seating area as well as indoors. I had an opportunity to interview Carly who was very friendly and explained the process they use in making their ice cream. First and foremost I must stress that all flavors are vanilla based including the chocolate ice cream. They use various ingredients or add appropriate toppings to bring out the flavors. You are welcome to sample as much as you like before making your selection. You are also welcome to purchase a quart of their ice cream as well as their own bagged coffee. They also participate in fundraising activities as well as catering. Salted caramel is always one of their top sellers but I favored the lavender shortcake and banana creme pie as my choices for the two scoops I wanted to try. Prices are very reasonable if you are buying one or two scoops and portion sizes are generous. I did ask about dairy free and to her knowledge she said that they probably didn't have any but if they did then it would be marked as such. In addition to ice cream they sell coffee as well as various baked goods and even bagels with various toppings. They also have grab and go instant breakfast items. The shelves are neatly arranged and very attractive. The pastries including the biscotti comes from Sweet B's sweet shop in Bakerstown, PA which is relatively close to Churn's 2nd location in Gibsonia. The store has free WiFi-passcode on the wall. I noticed they sell ice cream cakes in a frozen bin which average about $35.00. After I received my ice cream and water with ice I sat down to try out my selections. The banana creme pie tasted just like it you really wouldn't know if is vanilla based. The lavender shortcake was good but basically I could taste the vanilla throughout. They have one gender neutral restroom which again lacks a purse hook (my pet peeve) about these things but well maintained. In addition to ice cream they carry the usual fare of ice cream treats one would enjoy as such as sundaes, smoothies, and frappes. My only disappointment is that they don't make real chocolate nor strawberry ice cream. However, the fact that they make their ice cream here is always a plus for me rather than purchasing some name brand I'm familiar with. Churn in Cranberry sits is a very small angled strip mall on SR 19 northbound which is about 1/2 mile north of Rt 228. In this same mall is the 2nd location of Naturoll which I've been to in Lawrenceville. There is also a restaurant here as well as New Dimension comic book store. You can only enter and exit northbound so if you are planning to visit make appropriate adjustments to get on that side of Rt 19 which is multiple lane in this area.
