We visited this restaurant on our drive from San Francisco to Vancouver.The restaurant is very nice and modern. Staff is helpful and friendly.But food! It's amazing!I like the Greek food. We enjoyed it on our trips to Greece. But I think the food in Eleni's Philoxenia is the best I ever ate. Big compliments to the chef!We had 4 dishes. Everything was delicious. I especially like Orzo Me Arni Kokonisto.I would give this restaurant 10 out of 10 if I could.Thank you guys.

Wow! Saw Eleni's Philoxenia as we were shopping, and cancelled our reservations elsewhere to come here. The Kouneli Stifado is absolutely the best we have ever had. And that is saying a lot. We eat that dish all over Greece and in Spain with its equivalent, Conejo Estofado. Chef Moses has brought his fresh, wonderful talent to Portland, and we are looking forward to our next trip back to Eleni's.

My wife and I traveled to Portland Oregon and came across Eleni's Philoxenia one of the very best Greek Restaurants we have eaten in. This is a big statement since my wife was born and raised in Greece and I was raised in Chicago by Greek parents and grandparents who cooked authentic Greek food. Besides we have been all over Greece several times so I'd say we know great Greek food. Eleni's is great Greek food. Not one dish disappointed us, in fact every dish was perfect, perfectly made, perfectly presented and of course perfectly eaten.YUMMY!!! The salad was as good as my wife's (shhh a little better-don't tell her). The Spanikopata was so good and I'm one who does not care for this dish much but I could not stop eating it, it was even crispy-perfection. I don't think the lamb and orzo could of been made any better. Again another dish perfectly done! The rice pudding and bakalava was the perfect way to end a perfect dinner. We will be in Portland for a week more and I know we will be visiting Eleni's several times before heading home. The service was friendly and yes perfect
