New York City is famous for high efficiency and direct tone. I totally get it. But tonight it felt a bit different. The whole store's decorations on the walls were very artistic. The drink knockout punch was aaaaaaamazing! And it's actually a light freeze too! When I was taking some pictures of the establishment for my foodie blog before leaving, one of stuff members walked towards to me yelling "enough! That's enough!" while forcefully escorting me out of the door. I've had unpleasant service experience in NYC before and I almost started to get used to it. But this, definitely escalated it to a whole new level. And that level simply was called rude. Besides that, I actually couldn't stop but wonder, would I be treated differently if I were not a minority race? Because he certainly didn't say anything when my white friends taking pictures of the store. I worked in food service field for more than ten years. Yet I've never seen anyone in any place would not want more business but yell at their customers. So, "enough," huh? Sure. I've had enough from this establishment too, And I will not come back with my friends ever again.

Got late to NYC and most restaurants in Hell's Kitchen were closing, but definitely not this 24 hour very busy Latin restaurant! Don't get fooled by the name, it's not just empanadas, although obviously that's what they are very well known. The empanada was crunchy on the outside with a very well marinated ground beef on the inside; and definitely not greasy at all. The guacamole & plantain chips is great for sharing and it was also on point. The guacamole was creamy and with a touch of spice. Finally the arepa burger was an interested twist to a Colombian arepa with a great mix of flavors
