Food Review: Finley's Round Rock My mom, husband, and I went for lunch at Finley's Round Rock today and ordered the following: a BYO Bacon Cheeseburger with fries, a BYO Bacon Burger with fries, and The Phatty Melt with tater tots. I opted for the bacon burger without cheese and had it with a side of fries, but I did enjoy some of the tater tots that my husband ordered. Now, for the review: As someone who had never been to this restaurant before, I was thoroughly impressed. Not only was the food delicious, but the service was incredible, and the ambience was inviting and cozy. I typically stick to simple meals when trying new restaurants to avoid overwhelming myself or giving a bad review on my first try. The burger and fries were exceptional, cooked thoroughly, and the bacon was nice and crispy. I ordered it with pickles, tomatoes, mayo, mustard, and ketchup; aside from the tomatoes and pickles being thick-cut, the food was really good. The fries were out of this world! Salted perfectly, had a nice garlic finish, and weren't soggy. I tried them with ketchup initially but, after my first bite, decided they didn't deserve to be covered up, so I ate them plain. I also sampled my husband's tater tots, and those were also excellent - nice and crisp with the perfect balance of salt and goodness. Overall, I rate Finley's Round Rock a solid 9/10. Everything was perfect, but with the pickles and tomatoes being so thick, it was a bit challenging to eat them in the burger. I will be going back to try something else on their menu, and I am definitely going to explore their breakfast/brunch offerings. *All opinions are my own and are in no way meant to harm, deter, or undermine others.*
