We didn't know this place was closing down when we went, so were shocked to see the length of the line. We expected to wait 30 minutes like other reviews said but we instead stood in line for 90 minutes wondering just how good these noodles could be. When we got to the counter we were informed there would be another 90 minutes for our orders to be made, but we stuck through it. After 3 hours of waiting we were stunned into silence by the rich, creamy broth. The mouthfeel was unctuous and silky, it clung to each noodle and seasoned each bite perfectly. The chashu is sliced thin and dissolves in your mouth. The seasoned soft boiled egg adds yet another layer of decadence to each bite. Even the condiments and free toppings were excellent (I want a jar of that chilli crunch). Somehow after consuming at least 2 cups of fat and collagen I felt light and so very content. This bowl of noodles is perhaps the most blissful meal I've ever had in my life. Perhaps it was the fact that we waited so long that made it "worth it", but I'm very happy I got to try it once. This place really has ruined all other tonkotsu for me. I sincerely hope this is not the end for Gumshara, best of luck and we hope to see you back bigger and better. And one last time before they close. And damn it didn’t disappoint! Waited 1 hour to order and 30mins to get served. Ordered number 6 (from memory) the mini spare rib, BBQ pork and the back garlic with a soft egg. Totally worth it.
