I discovered the Hanoi Deli City Hall restaurant after my sister, who comes here regularly, recommended it to me. During my visit I tried a wide range of dishes including the vegan sushi set with VEGI Special Crunchy (Avo - Cucumber - Tofu - Asparagus), Hanoi Budha (Asparagus-Avo-Mango-Avo), Avo Maki, Cucumber Maki and Avo Nigiri. Additionally, I ordered the VEGI Set from the Hanoi Share Mix, which included tofu in a green rice coating, vegi dimsum, crispy avocado, homemade vegetarian spring rolls and edamame. The choice of dishes in the restaurant is large, but I found that there were too few menu options for vegetarians and vegans. I would also have liked to swap some elements in the Sushi-Vegi Set for other vegetarian sushi, which unfortunately wasn't possible. The amount of food in the Hanoi Share Mix was reasonable in my opinion, but the price of the sushi set seemed a bit too high to me. The quality and taste of the sushi was mostly excellent, apart from the asparagus sushi where the asparagus was too dominant in my opinion. Nevertheless, overall the sushi was well prepared and tasty. I was particularly impressed by the tofu with green rice coating and the dimsum in the Hanoi Mix Set. However, the edamame were a little under-salted and too bland in flavor, while the homemade spring rolls were fresh and tasty, but contained too many different components in my opinion. However, that is purely a matter of taste. The presentation of the dishes was impressive and a lot of love and attention was put into the service. Every dish was literally a show, something I have never experienced in any other restaurant. The only point of criticism is that despite the high quality service, the dishes and the location, disposable wooden chopsticks were used. Here I would have thought reusable chopsticks would be more appropriate and environmentally friendly. I found the location itself to be extremely narrow and loud. The tables were too close together, which made conversations difficult as neighboring tables could be heard. However, the service was very friendly, courteous and attentive. Overall, I would give the Hanoi Deli Rathaus restaurant 3.5 stars. The food was mostly tasty, the prices were OK if a bit high, the presentation of the dishes and the service were excellent, but the crampedness and noise of the location was unpleasant.
