I’ve been coming here for a long time and lately every time I come and order more than one thing, the other items in the order - primarily the simple bagel orders are wrong. There are other places I can go especially to avoid the traffic nightmare at that corner. Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

Can I give more than 5 stars? The bagels and specialty cream cheeses are amazing. First, the bagels have a crisp and thin exterior shell and a moist, soft, pillowy interior. All the talk about "New York bagels" rings true when you bite into Hot Bagels Brooklyn's Finest. Let's continue with the owner, Peter Cohen, who is a terrific guy. He welcomes you into the shop like you are family coming into his house. Once he found out we were first time visitors, he pulled out all the stops to make sure we knew what kind of place it was. He treated us with a free bagel and cream cheese while we waited for our breakfast sandwiches. The jalapeño cream cheese spread was creamy, fresh, and with a sharp but manageable bite. Prices were extremely reasonable, especially considering supply chain issues and inflation that all restaurants are incurring. Pete chatted us up about the restaurant, his son who NCAA basketball rising star Josh Cohen, and even offered to mail order bagels down to Florida. Is is obvious how much Pete cares about his customers, employees, and the community. Wish we lived closer because this would be a weekly spot for us! Please support this excellent spot and a great business.
