OUT OF ALL OF THE TIMES I HAVE VISITED HERE. OVER MANY YEARS. AS A CONSISTENT CUSTOMER. (Because the food is delicious and second to none. So do not question that about this beautiful place) But today the guy working there. I do not want to guess his ethnicity out of respect for him. 18:40 on May 3rd 2024. Was horrendous in his customer service. I approached the store door, where he seems to be covering the Macaroons already. Then he stand in the doorway. As I try to enter, looks me up and down and asks 'Can I help you?'. To which I reply sternly. Yes. Can I buy something. Then he has the audacity to look annoyed that he needs to serve me. No cakes left so I ask for 12 Mac's. All Mixed. I noticed he is putting double s so I kindly ask for one of each as requested. And then he tells me I can't choose which ones I want?? I sternly asked again. For a 'mix'. I then took cash out of my bag. And he interrupted with. Card only. Zero professional cadence at all. I told him bluntly it would be nicer to say. 'sorry we don't accept cash'. So the whole ordeal felt like he just didn't want ME in the store... For whatever personal reason he has against people that may look like me? Dress like me? Speak English? I don't want to guess why but there was clearly 'A' reason. Then when paying him I let him know it was the worst experience I had there. To which he just smirked. If I see him there again. I will not go inside. Neither will my friends who I have introduced to the shop over the years. Truly unnecessarily rude. FOOD GREAT AS ALWAYS! A gluten-free heaven with super delicious bread, chocolate buns and the most amazing macarons. Also, the service is impeccable and even as someone who can eat gluten, I would definitely come back for their cakes and buns. Service: Take out Meal type: Other Price per person: €10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Large vegetarian selection

The prices assume that the tarts and baked goods are top-notch, and they are. It is the service that should be worked on. I stood in front of the tart counter for minutes and wasn't served, during which time three customers came in one after the other and were served. When I pointed this out to the saleswoman, she said I also had to go into the store to be served. I've bought it several times and so far I've never had to hand it over to the store. I also wonder why the counter is open. My intention to buy was ten different tartlets... of course I don't know what they're all called. A pity. Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
