One of the best Birria tacos I've had. Seems like it's under new ownership. They have some crazy corn! So many choices. Food was fresh to order. Must try in Johns creek. It is next to the movie theater in that same shopping center.

Poor service. Birria tacos were nowhere close to decent (forget being authentic). Servers had no clue what an authentic birria should be. When demand is more than supply....expect service levels to be terrible....ZERO incentive for businesses to do better. Won't recommend or go back to this place again.

Please read all of this to get the full message. Giving them 5 stars now for circumstances. Edit: we went back for a second time this weekend, and again, the food was fabulous.There was one person running the kitchen, table, takeout. You can imagine. As we were rushing out , the owner showed up and explained that this was a soft opening and the grand opening would be in2 weeks. ORIGINAL POST: I really really want to give Taquila restaurant bar five stars. Definitely they get five stars for the food! We ended up here on a Sunday afternoon while trying to go to the Mexican restaurant close by that was closed. We loved the guacamole dip, the salsa, the street corn and the tacos and the quesadilla . The only reason why we couldn't give them a five is the service was a little slow and we were the only ones in the restaurant. They were also out of most soft drinks, for that reason we tried the apple soda and it was really good so all ended well. I can't wait to go back!
