Got in line 5min before opening on a Saturday and there were at least 20ppl before me. Still got the food within 20min. Got the carne asada and the adobada. The adobada is a must and the beef one was good, too. Best Mexican bites I've had here in NYC.

Order: Adobada and Carne Asada Pros: By far thee BEST tacos i've had in a while! Yessuh these are good. The Pork taco is spicy but filled with so much flavor. The avocado spread is seasoned to perfection. The corn tortillas are hand made, fresh, & light. The carne asada was just as flavorful! Chefs kiss. Theres a line so expect to wait a few minutes. If you want to eat here, just know that it is unavoidable to wait in a long line. Los Tacos No.1 is located inside Chelsea Market and usually has the longest line in the food hall. But the line does move and eventually you will get to the ordering area. Los Tacos No. 1 is very well-known in NYC and is known for their traditional street tacos. They have five locations around the Manhattan area. I'm from Arizona and we have great street tacos everywhere because we are so close to the border. So I was excited to finally try Los Tacos No.1 for the first time. The menu at Los Tacos No.1 is actually quite simple. Tacos, Tostadas, Quesadillas and Mulas (cheese and toppings sandwiched between two tortillas) along with some sides and drinks. Because everything moves at a fast pace, I recommend knowing what you want before you get to the ordering area. You have four protein choices to choose from - asada, pollo, adobada and nopal (grilled cactus). Unsure what protein you should order? Do what I do, order one of each. You have the option of flour or corn tortillas. I love that after you order, you can watch the cooks make your food. These guys know how to hustle. Ordering here is just like how you would order street tacos at a food cart in Mexico. You grab your tacos once they call your name and go find a place to devour them. There is no eating at the bar. Just know that Chelsea Market is limited in seating and you may find yourself eating as you walk around the market. I ordered a quesdialla and some tacos and selected a few protein choices. I was intrigue by the Nopal plate because I have never tried grilled cactus. Overall I probably ordered way too much food. But in my world, tacos are life and you can never eat enough of them. The food here is really good! I love food that makes me sweat a little. The tacos have just the right amount of spice and flavor to them. Los Tacos No.1 is a little pricey compared to home, but I know that this is New York City and nothing is cheap here. They have some Aguas Frecas and Mexican sodas here for beverages. I'm a big Horchata fan and got one to wash all my food down. I am so glad that I finally got to try Los Tacos No.1 after years of being intimidated by the line. Definitely the best tacos I have ever tried in New York City. The rest of my evening was spent taking a stroll on the High Line to walk off my full belly.
