Myungrang was the first time I've had Korean style corndogs in the US. And I was pretty blown away. I'm not the biggest corndog fan, and Myungrang actually made me a fan of it. What's really great about the food is that the batter is thick and fluffy, the sauces are great, and the mozzarella cheese inside is delicious. I was able to try the signature hotdog set, which included the mozzarella hotdog and squid ink hotdog. They were all really great. I especially liked the potato mozzarella hotdog with the potato cubes fried atop. And you must get all your dogs with sugar! The tteokbokki was also very good here. It was pretty spicy, but the flavor itself was nice. It had the rice cakes, the fish cake, and even one piece of boiled egg.
If you see Myungrang while you are walking in this California Market, go there! You won't regret it. The food is pretty awesome. It's a great snack for any occasion! I shot a YouTube video of my experience at Myungrang, which you can see on my channel called Rockstar Eater in the episode titled, The Ultimate Korean Street Food Tour in LA:
