First visit to Outpost 406 yesterday. I'm so glad we chose it for a late lunch. Jason, our server, was friendly and attentive. Service was excellent overall. But let's get to the real stuff...the food. My husband and I shared the huge cheesesteak sandwich. The bun was soft and delicious. The meat, cooked with onions and peppers was so flavorful. I wasn't even that hungry but couldn't not eat it. So yummy! The fries were fresh and hot and flavored with fresh garlic. They were served in a blue metal pot and looked and tasted so good. However, although I was wonderfully stuffed we decided to indulge with the ice cream topped with Huckleberry topping. I expected a scoop of ice cream but got about 5 scoops of creamy, tasty vanilla ice cream topped with pure goodness...decided Huckleberry is a mix of raspberry and blackberry flavors. Omg! I can't wait to have that dessert again. We came away absolutely stuffed and very happy for less than 30.00.

Great food and service! Great items to share and the food prep is fabulous. Great wine and drink selection too.
