Отличный семейный ресторанчик. Всё, что мы заказали было очень вкусно и недорого. За жёлтой выцветшей вывеской и непритязательным интерьером скрывается очень популярное заведение с прекрасной кухней. Классическая тайская кухня в отличном исполнении!

I don't always take restaurant advice from a cartoon tire man, but when I do, I end up with frozen crab. Stick to selling tires, Michelin Man. Here's my complete review of Sornthong Pochana. Female Raw Crab (1/5) I give the frozen female crab with Thai-style sauce a 'crabby' 2 out of 5. It was served to me frozen. I was told to eat it frozen to avoid getting sick, but the result was like chewing on ice, and as it thawed it was disappointing mushy texture and slightly bitter roe. The Thai sauce was tasty, but it overpowered the delicate flavour of the crab. While I appreciate the concern for freshness, maybe it's time to let this crab go and focus on serving up some fresher catches. Noodles with fried crab (2/5) I had high hopes for the noodles with fried crab, but it turned out to be a shell of a dish. The crab was MIA in flavour, and the noodles needed a pinch of salt and a dash of personality. There was nothing wrong with the dish but it needs a serious seasoning intervention. I objectively found the street food at Khlong Toei Market tastier, and for a fraction of the cost. The market food is salty and punchy and nourishing. This had no personality. Snow Fish (Alaska Black Cod) (2/5) The Snow Fish (Alaska Black Cod) had good flavour, but the texture was a bit on the mushy side and lacked salt within the fish. It seems like it may have been previously frozen and not dried properly before cooking. The fish was then seared and served in a sauce which had all the salt. Perhaps a dry seasoning would have been a better choice to let the fish shine. All in all, it was a decent dish, but could have been executed better in terms of texture and presentation. Gigantic oysters (1/5) I'm a huge oyster fan so this made me sad. The gigantic oysters (gigas oysters) had a clear and unmistakable fishy taste. Instead of the expected briny, oceanic flavour, they were overly strong and fishy. I'm all for trying new things, but I draw the line at risking my digestive system for the sake of adventure. As a tourist, I don't have the luxury of a backup wardrobe, so I had to pass on these fishy little monsters. I also remembered in 2019 when I ate a fish that resembled a bright blue surprised Christopher Walken in Phuket, and I got food poisoning so bad that I saw my ancestors, so I wasn't going to play seafood Russian roulette with your oysters. River Prawns (3/5) These have real potential! Decent flavour from charcoal grill and head butter, but needed some salt. Coarse salt would have been perfect. Coconut drink (2/5) It tasted like someone who just learned how to make smoothies and watered it down too much. You know what I'm talking about, right? And I hate to break it to you, but I've had better coconut smoothies on the side of the road in Chiang Mai for 50 baht. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ฿1,000+ Dietary restrictions: Peanut allergy. They made a note to the chef, thank you.
