Had the worst experience of food in my life. Worst service, worst atmosphere and worst staff. Staff wasn’t listening to my concerns, food was very bad and too much over priced for no reason . When i had the first bite of the pasta i had like a vomit attack. I spent too much money on this food for just having a vomit. Street good is better then this restaurant. I request all not to go to this restaurant. Price per person: ₹800–1,000 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

The Brew Estate is in an enviable location on the Ridge, up a flight of steps just 20m behind Christ Church, the premier landmark of Shimla. The plush interiors belie the drab grey unappealing building in which it is located. The property, designed like a pub-lounge has a variety of seating ranging from comfy sofas to bar stools. The main dining area is in a large hall, with an adjoining hall with some views of Shimla south of the Ridge. There's a smoking room as well. The draught beer is of four varieties and you're offered a tasting before ordering. The in-house Brew No.1 tastes yuck, but the Rocky Road brew I ordered was rich in taste, with a malty, slightly burnt taste, that reminded me of Guiness. The food menu was pricey, competes with the priciest in Bombay and Delhi. The only jarring thing wa was the billing. Luckily, I read the bill in the dim light. It had a service charge of 10% plus GST on that, so I skipped the tip. I didn't find it mentioned anywhere that a sevice charge is included. It should be displayed prominently at the entrance. There are good chances that people who are sozzled or in a group, miss seeing the service charge and end up paying a further 10% trip. I'd suggest if you go, please do check the very confusing bill carefully. Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian options in all cuisine types. Parking: The Brew Estate is located in a pedestrian-only zone, accessible only to local personal cars and HRTC cabs. Kid-friendliness: No. Wheelchair accessibility: Not accessible. There're just too many steps everywhere. Price per person: ₹400–600 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Parking space: Difficult to find parking Parking options: Parking is unavailable
