We are very proud to have been voted Best Restaurant by our diners through Open Table and we also feature once again in this years Good Beer Guide. A well established independent family run dog-friendly pub with real log fires, in the heart of Berkhamsted; considered by many to be a "proper" pub. With the benefit of a car park and a spacious, sunny beer garden, backing onto the canal. Plus an enclosed, heated mediterranean styled decking area to the rear, perfect for Al Fresco dining. Homemade cakes and coffee are available from 12pm. There is a dedicated gin bar, cocktails and a selection of local real ales. We offer for lunch and dinner service our Fish Bar and Grill menu, (including West Maldon Oysters). Sunday is all about our home cooked Roast, served till 5.00pm, which can also be pre-ordered for takeaway, up to the day before.
