The Tennessee Truffle marries fine dining and southern cuisine perfectly! The menu will often feature southern staples with unique ingredients sourced from local farmers. This restaurant is a great asset to Sanford. Delicious first experience at The Tennessee Truffle, a local Sanford restaurant serving good food in a charming rustic setting with lovely staff on hand. I arrived first thing this morning and was thrilled to score the high top at the window. I knew the popular French Toast would be my order but I also splurged for a Lake Meadow scrambled egg. I must admit missing out on smoked syrup this long in my life is a tragedy. My God! You can just imagine the taste and how it enhanced each morsel of what was already delicious French Toast (in a generous portion, too). Also pleasantly surprised by the addition of scallions and the wee bit of soft crunch they gave. The egg arrived a bit "wet" which I don't typically go for, but then I tried it. Imagine a scrambled egg that doesn't need anything - no salt, no pepper, nothing...because it's PERFECT. My meal was washed down with a refreshing glass of OJ and I left very much sated. Granted, you may pay a few more pennies for the treats here at Tennessee Truffle, but I guarantee you will taste the quality.

Who knew that Sanford, FL had incredible food?! I went to Sanford on a Friday evening to see a show at Theatre West End. A friend recommended The Tennessee Truffle and I could not have enjoyed it more! Between the four of us, we split 5 appetizers and two entrees to create a sort of shared meal experience. Every single dish that came out was incredible. Pork Belly, Watermelon Salad, Chicken Liver Mousse, Hoecakes, cheddar biscuits (can't remember exactly), Lobster Rissotto, and Pork Loin. Each bite was better than the next. The menu sounded intriguing, but I never imagined it to be as delicious as it was. I live about an hour away from this venue, and it would easily be worth the drive. I left a voicemail for a reservation request and received a phone call to confirm. They were very easy to work with. The Chef was working and chatted with our table. He seemed hospitable and genuinely appreciative of our business. I always like when venues are sincere - its the little things for me :) They do only serve beer and wine, not a full liquor bar. That didn't take away from our experience as we had wine with dinner. I'm just adding as a point of reference for anyone that may be more particular. Street parking was very easy, even on a Friday night.
