You seemed very angry and decided to take it out on yobu, a small independent business where staff work so hard every day to serve customers well and to survive the tough environment. Simply because the store layout isn’t the same as the time when we opened 9 years ago in 2015?! Did you notice that we have now over 150 flavours of drinks, 5 times more than 2015? And we now offer a lot more food, snacks and merchandise based on customer feedback? Did you realise all these additions require storage space and we decided to convert our downstairs space into storage to accommodate the extra stock during the pandemic when nobody was allowed to sit in and we are utilising downstairs areas to save thousands of pounds spent on remote storage? Currently 25 seats are available for customers to sit in upstairs. On each side of the shopfront windows there are printed menus. On each of the tables and on the high stool area there are printed copies of the menu for customers to read before and after you come in. We changed the ordering area to be closer to the door during the pandemic but we also made sure menu leaflets are readily available and displayed everywhere in the store. We are saddened that you didn’t notice how friendly, helpful and hardworking our staff members are. A small, independent business like ours is constantly adapting and changing. We are sorry that our store layout is not the same as the day when we opened almost 10 years ago and that you don’t like the changes. I sincerely hope that you will talk to our staff and try to understand the reasons behind the changes and give us constructive feedbacks face to face, instead of hurting us online.
