My family and I recently visited Zima in Bandra to celebrate Eid, but unfortunately, our experience was far from enjoyable. Despite having made a reservation for 8 people through Zomato with a 25% discount, we were met with rudeness and disrespect from the manager, Salman. Despite the restaurant being mostly empty, the manager insisted on giving us a table for 6 instead of accommodating our reservation for 8. Additionally, when we requested water, we were denied even that basic courtesy because we asked for regular water instead of bottled. The unprofessional and arrogant behavior of the staff, particularly the manager, Salman, left us feeling unwelcome and disrespected. After being treated so poorly, we had no choice but to leave the restaurant without even being served water. It's truly disheartening to encounter such lack of professionalism and courtesy, especially during a special occasion like Eid. We will not be returning to Zima and would advise others to reconsider dining there until they improve their customer service standards. We havent abused anyone we are from respectable families, and we were there with family to celebrate our eid. He misunderstood our tone and told us to get out. Even before misunderstanding our tone he told us to get out. And there were no limited tables as you can check with your restaurant that we were there from 9-10pm and we had even booked through zomato. We had booked a table for 8 pax but he gave us only for 6 pax and refused to join the table next to us even when it was empty during peak hours. He said that if ya’ll want to sit more than 6 people then I’ll give you a table of 6 and if you want to sit less than 6 people then only I’ll give you a table of 8. Which mwant that he had some ego issues and I don’t know what problem for which he did all this which is beyond our understanding. And also please do not put false blame on us of putting fake reviews as we have put extremely genuine reviews. The reviews were are posting are extremely truth and genuine. Upon reviewing the circumstances surrounding your recent visit, we understand that you were with the same group of people who tried to misuse zomato discount and created a misunderstanding regarding your reservation and the Zomato discount policy. During the busy Eid period, our restaurant experienced a high demand for tables, which unfortunately limited our ability to accommodate certain requests. Despite this, we regret any inconvenience this may have caused you. However, it is important to address your group's abusive behaviour that transpired during your visit. Threatening our team members, including our manager Salman, and using abusive language is unacceptable. Furthermore, the threat of posting fake negative reviews is detrimental to our reputation and goes against the principles of fair feedback. We take such actions seriously and will be addressing this issue with Zomato to ensure the integrity of our online reviews. While we value feedback from our guests, we cannot tolerate disrespectful behavior towards our staff.
