I was at the SOMA Street Park and couldn't decide what I wanted until I saw Chomp Station's menu. When I saw it, I knew I wanted some comfort food and got the mac and tip which is their mac and cheese with tri tip. It also includes 2 free toppings and I got some hot cheetos and some cheese puffs on top. I thought the mac and cheese was solid and the tri tip was good too. The tri tip was well cooked, but I wish that it had a little bit of fat or some kind of seasoning or sauce as it could have used more flavor. The toppings on the mac and cheese helped with adding some texture to the meal. Overall, it was a decent meal. I felt satisfied and full after eating it.

Had no idea Chomp Station was a tri tip truck. You would have never guessed from the name. I got the tri tip sandwhich and it was surprisingly good. A nice kick from the bbq sauce, caramelized onions, sriracha and cheese on a soft roll. Decent portion. Free soda with check-in (sprite, coke, coke zero). Prices are decent. Other offerings are tater tots and mac and cheese with tri tip. If you're a tri tip lover then this is the truck for you for sure. I had this truck at the Spark Social food truck lot and I don't see it a lot but at least once a week or every 2 weeks. The service is normal, nothing too crazy.

Absolutely delicious - I loved my salad: tender, melt-in-your-mouth tri tip, buttery avocado, fresh greens, tasty sesame dressing, grape tomatoes, sliced almonds, and dried fruit. Satisfying portion of steak. The salad is the high quality I would expect from a good steakhouse! Tasty Thai iced tea. Service was friendly and fast - I will return. We brought our lunch back to the office and other colleagues looked on in envy! Five stars.
