TASTE WITH PLEASURE – “Right at the bend of the Mill” #gastronomy #casadefoods If I were a gastronomic critic I would write: “I visited 'A Marisqueira de Ribamar' where I tried to go incognito and paid for the meal”. But let's get down to business “Marisqueira de Ribamar has been a place of choice since 1972, maintaining tradition in its famous specialties with seafood from our coast” When coming from Ericeira, after passing the viewpoint over Praia de Ribeira de Ilhas, a very steep descent to Santo Isidoro and climb to Ribamar, in a curve with a windmill typical of the Saloia region and crossing to Praia dos Coxos, right next to right a building of modern architecture, is our destination. We entered “A Marisqueira de Ribamar” where we had booked a table for two. In fact, a sign of professionalism that needs to be highlighted, we had called before opening time but care was taken to receive a return call at 12 noon which allowed us to make the reservation. From a vast list, fundamentally based on seafood, or were it not the “king” delicacy of the region and to do justice to the name of this “food house” and its presentation motto, we chose, with full agreement, the table service for a “Cold Mariscada” which, when served, was preceded by an excellent dish of “Grilled Lapas”. As for the “Cold Seafood”, consisting of a “Stuffed Crab”, a hearty bowl of mussels from the rock, still with corals in the shells, “diving” clams and very fresh cooked prawns. Very fresh, tasty seafood and in adequate quantity. We completed the meal with an “Açorda de Prawns” with a pleasant texture and flavor to our taste. Summary of assessment: Location – 5 stars. With a pleasant view of the Ocean, which was very alive on this day. Service – 5 stars. Always attentive to details and very friendly treatment. Quality/Price – 5 stars.
