CAREFUL. IS CLOSED. THEY ARE REFERRED WITHOUT WARNING TO ANOTHER RESTAURANT TWICE AS EXPENSIVE Yesterday I booked and ended up at Lima Street Food, with an anecdote with the service that leaves me feeling like I've been deceived. Below I detail what happened and judge for yourselves: -Years ago I met the Peruvian restaurant Raíces, I liked it for the quality and the prices which, without being cheap, were really good. I wanted to return a few months ago and it was closed. -Yesterday, looking for a place to have dinner, I Googled "best Peruvian in Seville" and there it was, Raíces, open from 8:30 p.m. to midnight. A phone number appeared so I called to verify that they were open and to make my reservation. -They answer my call from Raíces, and I could swear that the person who answers it receives the call saying "Restaurante Raíces." However, and even if we assume that I don't understand well, I'm asking to make sure, since I had previously seen it closed on Google: "Raíces? Are you open?" and he answers yes. Marvelous. -I ask him about a dish, surprised, since the last photo that appears on Google of the menu is from 4 or 5 years ago, and I tell him this: "the last photo in which the menu appears is from 4 years ago or 5 years, to make sure they still have it. They tell me yes, they still have that dish. It doesn't give me more information. Up to this point, we would all understand that we are talking about the same restaurant that I have called, Raíces, right? I reserve a table for 10:30 p.m. -I arrive at 10:30 p.m. at the address that appears on Google for the restaurant that I called, Raíces, and that appears open, and my surprise is that I see it closed. I call the indicated number again, and this time, yes, clearly, they answer: "Lima Centro, tell me?" -"No, look, sorry, I just called a while ago and reserved a table at Raíces, and I arrived and it's closed." -"No, we are now in a different direction, but we are the same."- "Ah, you should have indicated it, since now I am going to be a little late." Delusional, I thought my biggest surprise was going to be the 10 minute delay. -When I arrive at the new address, around 11 p.m., I see that it is Lima Street Food, a chain that I had seen that same afternoon in my search and had discarded since it had a worse rating than Raíces. But having told me that they were the same, I gave them the chance. We again indicated to the waiter who served us upon arrival the need to correct the address error or, better yet, disable the Raíces website, so as not to cause confusion to the clientele. He told us that they were the same and that they were still receiving calls from the other site, that they had to close the website or see how they did it. -My surprise comes when when I see the menu I see that the PRICES are literally DOUBLE or more than in the Raíces menu. Specifically, the tuna tartare, which was the dish I asked him about, went from €7 to €16. The ceviche cost €7-8 at Raíces, €14. You can imagine my face when I also realized that in the call I had given several specific details about the Raíces restaurant and no one had warned me that it was so substantially about another restaurant that the prices were doubled. When I look at the time, after the management incident, it is 11pm and I have no time to go somewhere else for dinner. -We check the numbers of both. Indeed, they were different numbers. -We finish dinner and I tell the waiter everything. He excuses himself by saying that it must be a problem with the website, that he is sorry, that next time they will fix it, but not a single detail with the client that he is telling him and with reasons, that he feels cheated. In my case there will be no next time. My theory is that they are deliberately serving the clientele of Raíces, a very well-positioned restaurant on the internet, and referring them to Lima without adequate information. I mention this because it must be taken into account that the prices are so inflated that not everyone who wants to go to one place could suddenly dine at the other. We're talking twice as expensive.
