Had a burger & fries. Burger looked and tasted hand-patted. Fries were nearly limp and barely warm. Four people in the kitchen with 2 or 3 orders going on. Less than expected...

There is new lady cooking. The quality has gone down since she started. The toppings are very skimpy and the buns are no longer warmed. The plate lunch has been cut in half to what it used to be.The original lady is still there. When she is on the grill the food is as it always was but she is hardly on the grill when I stop by anymore. The new lady needs to go. I have noticed there doesn't seem to be the business when I am there either.I used to have to wait in line on the food. Now I just walk in and walk right out. Almost never anyone there anymore.

421 Curb Market is not 5 star dining. I'm sure it was never meant to be. My first review slammed them slightly for giving me a cheap burger, and not great service. Of course what I didnt say is that was ordered from another location near by and delivered. Also that was YEARS ago! Fast forward to today, and I dipped in for a quick bite just to see how things were. It couldn't be THAT bad. I've had a place in my heart for this little store for a long long time. To be a small grill at a gas station the food was alright. The service was fast enough and friendly enough. You order at a window and they call your number when its ready. The menu is pretty large and is mainly breakfast items, and sandwiches. They now take credit cards!! YAY! I ordered a Double cheeseburger all the way and fries. The fries were cooked up nice and crispy with seasoned salt. The burger was large and the toppings even though messy were well portioned and applied to the sandwich. Burgers cooked up correctly, a little crust on the outside, no red inside and not over done. All in all a solid sandwich for sure. For what it is, I'm bumping to 4 stars. Its a small grill in a small gas station. Not a bad place to stop for a bite on the go. The hours are still kind of weird. So check them before you stop in. Of course they have gas, and other items you might expect to find in a small convenience store. Working class heroes dine here, and thats where they shine.
