Amazing service - server was quick to attend to us and was very helpful with the menu and wine parings Seemed very quiet for a Thursday dinner, but maybe they pick up other days. The food was awesome. The chef brought us a few items off menu which was great and the prefix was the perfect amount of food. We also added the charcuterie which was definitely worth it!

Tried this place last night and WOW, we had such a great time. Hostesses were right where they should be when we walked and were ready when we needed them. We started at the bar, Eli was our bartender and he made outstanding drinks. My partner and I have a couple of favorite cocktails "Last Word" & "Clean Aviation", Eli made them perfectly. Well balanced, beautifully presented and with a cheerful smile. We asked Eli to chill a couple of bottles of Krug to follow the cocktails. On to the table and it was surprisingly slow in the dining room but that never bothered us, we had great table in front of the kitchen. Our server, Chelsea, let us combine some items from the vegetarian menu with the set menu and made us feel so welcome. Everything we ate was amazing. We added an ounce of caviar and they very generously refreshed the accoutrements halfway through. The pasta was obviously made in-house and cooked to perfection. The squab was crazy good as was the beef. The sommelier (whose name escapes me) was great too. Also a shout out to Rachael for her food knowledge and friendly service. If you're a foodie and haven't tried this place, you simply must add it to your list.

Eat here now! ... before one of two things happen: (i) it gets a Michelin star and discovered or (ii) it doesn't survive in the wasteland of SoMa. Best service in a long while. Helpful wine steward (sommelier?). Elegant atmosphere and semi-private tables — a perfect place for a special occasion. Lovely food: the white asparagus panna cotta and the wagu-filled pasta were standouts. I also recommend the bar for a cocktail and a snack. Update: SF Eater reports that AFICI closed on September 13th.
