I’ve been to Montrose Breakfast twice now, and both visits have been consistently great. The service has been excellent every time. everyone we’ve interacted with has been warm, friendly, and welcoming. The food is high quality and full of flavour. I’ve tried the Fun Guy Benny, which was excellent, as well as the seasonal Basil Pesto Eggs special, which was very fresh and flavourful. The people I dined with also loved their meals, the Umami Toast was a favourite, and the Chicken & Waffles got rave reviews. One thing I really appreciate is that they offer plenty of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, along with a seasonal menu that changes regularly. It definitely gives me a reason to keep coming back to try something new. They also offer wonderful children friendly options and I saw many families with toddlers which is a bonus for parents. If the weather is nice, I highly recommend sitting on the patio. It has a charming atmosphere and very peaceful. The inside can get quite loud when it’s busy, so I much prefer the patio. They also have convenient parking in the back, which is a nice bonus. A couple of minor notes: some dishes could use a few more toppings or vegetables to make them feel a little more complete, but it’s a small criticism and didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed the meals. We also found the coffee flights to be much sweeter than expected. We normally drink our coffee without sugar and ended up adding quite a bit of milk to balance the sweetness, so that’s something to keep in mind if you prefer less-sweet coffee. The restaurant does get busy, so I’d recommend coming early in the morning or visiting on a weekday if you want to avoid the rush. Overall, Montrose Breakfast has is a great brunch spots in Hamilton. Great food, excellent service, a beautiful patio, and enough variety to keep me coming back. Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $30–40 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Had brunch here. Dulce dream french toast with the big bird and a flight of coffee tasters, a mocha and pineapple juice. Delicious! So so so good. The Dulce toast is so absurdly good it's kinda unreal. The chicken in the big bird was just the way I like it! Crispy, seasoned, juicy and proper. The mini coffees were incredible! Plenty of cool options on the menu I'd need to come back to try. This spot is a must try. The service was amazing, very friendly and quick service. Great mimosa, and Brown Sugar/Oak milk mixed Espresso -The Hammy Benny was fantastic, the pork belly was so juicy. My husband had The First Responder and the mini pancakes were so fluffy!
