We celebrated our anniversary in Ameo and expectations were high, especially reading all the 5-star reviews. For us however the experience was underwhelming. Food: tasty food, but unfortunately no "wow" factor. Wine: Even though the wine list is impressive, we were only offered the wine that goes as wine pairing for the dinner, which was disappointing as I personally didn't enjoy any of those wines. Service: Even though friendly and the Chef himself coming out to ask about the dinner, the service was subpar, we often had to ask for drinks and refills, otherwise we were not taken care of. All in all, nice place, good food, but far from the exceptional experience we were hoping for. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

It is a place we gladly returned and will return to and highly recommend to anyone looking for an exceptional restaurant experience in Zurich. Once more we had a wonderful experience at Ameo Restaurant. The cuisine is refined, creative and beautifully presented, with perfectly balanced flavours and great attention to detail. My wife is vegetarian, and the menu was thoughtfully adapted for her with the same level of creativity and care. The vegetarian dishes were so impressive that I might even choose the vegetarian option myself next time. The wine selection was exceptional and complemented the menu perfectly. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, making it ideal for a special evening out. A special thank you to the friendly, warm and professional owners and staff — Maxi, Julien and Martin — who made us feel truly welcome and guided us through the evening with enthusiasm. Price per person: CHF 100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: My wife is vegetarian, and the menu was thoughtfully adapted for her with the same level of creativity and care.
