Accanto has a lovely ambiance with nice decor that creates an elegant atmosphere. The customer service was generally good, and the staff was attentive, though they did seem somewhat insecure. Unfortunately, my experience was significantly marred by some concerning issues. The amuse-bouche was a small ball of fish with a fishbone, which was an unusual choice. More troublingly, I discovered a piece of metal whisker in my pasta dish - a serious food safety concern that shouldn't happen in any restaurant. Other aspects of the experience were disappointing as well. The menu didn't display prices, which made for an uncomfortable ordering experience. When it came time for dessert, instead of discreetly offering complimentary desserts to make up for the earlier issues, the staff announced this loudly before we'd even ordered, which felt awkward and ultimately led us to skip dessert altogether. For a restaurant with these aspirations, such mistakes are unacceptable. While the atmosphere and general service had potential, the food safety issue and handling of the situation afterward left much to be desired. Meal type: Dinner Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
