This café wasn’t bad, but the prices felt high for the quality. I paid $12 for a chicken salad wrap with a fruit cup it was good, just not $12 good. The kids’ meals were $8 and were okay. They had a hot dog and a grilled cheese, and each meal came with a side, drink, cookie, and a small toy, which the kids liked. It’s convenient, but a bit pricey for what you get. The Acro Cafe was a welcome and FIVE STAR stop following our lengthy and enjoyable tour of the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences in downtown Raleigh (with toddler). Located on the top floor of the museum and next to the butterfly house and garden, we welcomed the tables and chairs, Larry's coffee, cookies, water, and cake pops. A more extensive menu is available, but we ate lunch at the beginning of our multiple hour tour at The Daily Planet (also FIVE STARS) adjacent to the museum. Interesting note: The Acro Cafe is made possible by a grant from the late Julia and Frank Daniels and The News and Observer. Price per person: $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
