The hotel per se is great and is part of the Almmonte Sensum Suites Design hotel set up. The restaurant is great, albeit we visited when this was just before ski season started in December. I am sure this will get busy over the season, so if you are not staying here, book in advance. We used the restaurant 3 times and on the last time we were only offered a seat at the bar, even though the seating area in the restaurant was not busy. Asked why.. answer was; the lady on reception was new and was not sure of spaces available. Therefore dear reader, please check where your seat is, and how trained the staff whom are seating you are . Food was great, though the steaks were inconsistent. Medium was more like medium rare! We had one night a fondue (meat and fish) this was great. There is a shuttle between the hotels, which makes things a little easier. Hope you have a great night. this was our second visit in ALMMONTE 96 and we were quite dissatisfied, especially after the first visit, which was extremely nice. Due to either poor organization of the work, understaffed personnel or overbooked restaurant, we waited at the table for the menu/speisekarte for 20 minutes! furthermore, steaks we ordered as medium were made well done and chocolate lava cake had no melting chocolate inside. overall, quite a disappointment and I sincerely hope it was only an exception, Price per person: €30–40 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4
