Really sucks to write this review. There's an employee with short orange hair who likes to wear boots with her fur in the winter. She doesn't see anything wrong with mistreating patrons of the restaurant by dismissing, ignoring, fighting back with the assessment of the food quality. It was my mistake for ordering too early (once they opened). I have been told by friends to not order food when they just opened for the day but I had to have an early lunch today. I have frequented their restaurant every week sometimes twice a week. I typically dined in but sometimes I ordered for to-go. My two go-to dishes I ordered and received today were clearly from yesterday and we're just reheated in the microwave or on stove. When I called to address the poor quality of the food and mention that this is not their usual top standard, I was really objective in my assessment as well as respectful to the two people I was speaking to over the phone and then in person. The second person I was transferred to said she was the manager and she was in disbelief that there was something wrong with the food I ordered. I explained to her please don t take offense and I love coming to the restaurant for lunch because I really enjoyed the food there but this time, they missed the mark. She said if I can come to exchange for a reorder and I said I could. Once I got there, I said hello and she snatched the bag from me. She went into the kitchen and then back out to ask me a question. I was answering her question and she about-faced while I was still responding to her and walked away from me. I waited for the food. The newly prepared food was put in the same bowls they originally came in. Instead of giving me a new bag, they put the food in the same bag with the utensils I used. She shoved the bag of food at me and walked away which prompted me to confront her behavior and responses. I confronted her about why she responded and reacted the way she did. She had no care of looking at me or responding to me. She said a simple sorry it's busy here and she sends over an employee with glasses on who was managing one of the registers to answer on her behalf while she (manager) took over the employee's with the glasses responsibilities. I would be offended if I was the employee with the glasses, for the manager to throw her under the bus in that manner. Just for this some reason and choice the manager made for all the see and for the employee with the glasses to experience, I can't respect or give my money to a business that treats the patrons and their employees like that. I told the employee with the glasses that I wanted to continue to speak to the manager but since the manager didn't want the smoke, it's best I stopped supporting the business overall. I have already shared this with my friends and colleagues and they can ultimately decide where they want to go for lunch but I've been told Amaze will not be in the top 3 places to go for lunch any time soon. Short version: Don't order just when they open, unless you want food from yesterday that is just reheated. You will taste and feel the difference. Manager does not respect patrons and staff. Allowed her personal feelings to dictate her behavior and responses which were inappropriate in a restaurant/food service setting.
