I had a wonderful experience at The Anchor today. Food was great value, big portions and the staff and customers were friendly. Dog friendly, I thoroughly enjoyed my salt and pepper squid, it was very tender and chips and salad were delicious too. I highly recommend for a traditional pub setting. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €10–20

Great venue, chatty locals, and relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Always a pleasure to pop in when travelling through cahirsiveen. Well mannered staff and great covered outdoor seating, with your traditional irish pub atmosphere!

I was in the anchor bar on sat 4th. When I went in there was six people at the bar. I got my drink and was asked to take a seat at a table. I was never asked for a Covid cert or asked to sign any book. The bartender didn't even have a mask on. I was very disappointed with the set up. The pub was lovely and warm and the beer was good its a pity about the rest.
