Hi Colleen,We're genuinely disappointed to read your review, particularly because it doesn't reflect the experience we work so hard to provide, nor did you raise any of these concerns with our team while you were here. Had you done so, we would have welcomed the opportunity to address them immediately.You booked knowing exactly what was on offer. Before your visit, we advised you in writing that on Sundays we serve our full breakfast menu, while lunch is our traditional Texas BBQ from 1–4 pm with free live music. When you asked if there were alternatives, we also explained that we always offer a small selection of additional lunch options, such as cheeseburgers and fish sliders. Despite having all of this information before arriving, you chose to dine with us on a Sunday.Your comments about the BBQ are also inaccurate. Nowhere do we advertise pulled pork. We serve authentic Texas-style slow-smoked pork, which is traditionally served sliced with cornbread and slaw. Our chef is from Texas and has been cooking authentic American BBQ her entire life. The pork is slow-smoked over many hours and seasoned with a blend of spices. Bland is certainly not a description we've ever been known for. In fact, one of the most consistent compliments we receive is how full of flavour our food is, and on the very day you visited, other guests commented on how incredibly tender the pork was.Regarding the nuggets, a member of our own staff ate the same nuggets that day and there were no issues whatsoever. Had you mentioned your concern at the time, we would have happily replaced them immediately.While we appreciate that not every style of food will suit every person's taste, it's disappointing to receive such a scathing public review when every concern you've raised could have been addressed immediately had you mentioned it to our staff at the time.As a fully gluten-free restaurant, we are incredibly proud of the reputation we've built within the coeliac community. We encourage anyone reading this review to look at the major gluten-free apps and our many other reviews, where diners consistently describe us as not only one of the best gluten-free restaurants they've visited, but one of the best restaurants in general.We stand by both the quality of our food and the information we provided before your booking.
