Love Applebee's. I think they have a great menu. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is that every time we go there the dining area is a refrigerator. When my wife and I walked in we almost turned right back around. Fortunately we had a great waiter that up the temp when we requested it. I got the Bourbon Street Steak. It was cooked to perfection as far as the internal temperature. Maybe a little under seasoned but overall very good. The mash potatoes were amazing as well. I definitely recommend Applebee's but the one I go to needs to be considerate with the temperature. (And I know temperature is a personal choice but everyone in there was wearing a sweater or jacket). Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2

Service sucked !!! 4-18-26...Came before midnight and had 1 beer and trio appetizer. Seems waiter was acting strange or high on something. Was more worried about the drunk customers or current flyers....And you expect a good tip? 10 minutes later he comes back and asked me .."which one is your credit card?" I can't remember!!! I believe in second chances. Don't fired the guy yet but make him a dishwasher instead. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5

So when I think of really good food I don't typically think of Applebee's Grill + Bar but it's a place we sometimes go with my family of five because of the variety and the prices are pretty reasonable. We've been to the Austin Applebee's maybe three times over the last five months and I've got to say every single time all of us have been extremely impressed with the flavor our food. We've ordered burgers, appetizers, pasta, and some of entrees like the Bourbon Street Steak and the fish and chips. Each time my wife and I look at each other and go, "Wow, this is really good!" The burger stand out as extremely good for a chain restaurant. On my most recent visit I had pretzels and beer cheese which I just wanted to try because it sounded interesting. It was fantastic! Like, No! I might lick the bowl good. If you are tired of the Red Robin's and Blazing Onions of the world where you can't seem to get out of there without taking out a second mortgage check out Applebee's Grill + Bar. I think you will be impressed with both the food and the price.
