Me and my partner were staying in Waynesboro for the evening for his birthday after we’d spent our afternoon and evening exploring Skyline Drive. We arrived to our hotel after 10pm and as Waynesboro is a small mountain town not very many restaurants were still open after 10pm. We arrived to Applebees at 10:30, there was a server and bartender on the floor cleaning while the manager on duty was sitting at a side booth working on paperwork. We were the only customers in the building when we entered and we were not greeted in the slightest, we received instead nasty looks and the bartender and server started pointing inbetween eachother saying they didn’t want to take us at all. Again, we were the only customers in the building with a hour and a half left of service. Finally disgruntled the server took us and sat us at a table close to the bar. I order a Henny Punch and saw the bartender get upset that I’d even ordered a drink and was scuffing the whole way through making my drink, as we were the only ones in the restaurant I did see her making my drink and know that it was incorrect. Once I received my drink it was all juice, and a light liquor. I did not order another drink as at this point both me and my partner both felt our presents was not even wanted. When our server took my drink back to the bar the bartender she commented, “Oh, that didn’t take long.” The server and bartender then proceeded to start talking about us, I could hear the server telling the bartender that I’d said it’s tasted all of juice and proceeded to talk about how we should’ve have even come in the first place. My partner and I just wanted to have a hot meal somewhere before we went back to our hotel for the night but this was the most unpleasant service I’ve ever received. The whole time as we are receiving this treatment the manager was speaking with the bartender about how as soon as no one was here they were wanting to all get out of there. We ended up leaving by 11:15pm as we were so uncomfortable. There was only one other customer who entered during our time there and sat at the bar for a drink. He also ended up leaving after one drink as he told the bartender when he was paying that it was all juice. I see why all other Applebees are going out of business, it used to be a staple in my hometown that me and my family would enjoy often. The food was great but the service is always horrible. I was very disappointed, to say the least, that we had that type of experience for my partners birthday night. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30

Normally I do not eat applebees, but went for a birthday party tonight food was delicious. Order the new omcheese burger not bad. Everything was good, chips where ughh but 10/10. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free of charge parking lot
