Was here last night and the Shisha was really bad. Been here a few times before and it was fine, the service was decent. The music is way too loud in my opinion, hard to hold a conversation. The decor is pretty cool though. This one flavoured Shisha, *Guava* we couldn't even get it started up, the service was really slow and a table that got here after us, got their things way faster than us and we got here first. Probably because I ask for a glass of water and they told me they don't have it and only sell bottled water, I said that's ridiculous. Kind of ridiculous that you can't even ask for a glass of water and want you to spend $2-$3 on bottled water. Another problem was that last night, you can only use Credit and Cash. I don't normally carry cash, if I knew this before hand, my friends and I would've went somewhere else. Thankfully one of them had credit and had to pay. I'd most likely wouldn't return coming back here ever again.

Arch Sheesha Lounge is a nice spot to visit if you want some excellent food and great sheesha. The restaurant its self is not kept very tidy, as usual sheesha lounges in Calgary are; the fabric is ripping, un-even tables and chairs etc. The service is average, not terrible or fantastic, they greet, serve, and check up on you. The food however, is amazing, I ordered the chicken kabob screwer with rice, salad, and sauce, it was all very delicious. The chicken especially was tender, moist, and very flavorful. I reccomend this establishment for there food and sheesha only.

This place used to be the classiest Iranian restaurant in Calgary *by far,* and has unfortunately deteriorated to nothing more than a grimey SHISHA BAR as of late. I called and made resos for dinner for a friend's birthday, the guy who answered the phone failed to mention that what was once their glorious dining room, often hosting live traditional Iranian music while patrons feasted on delicious home cooked Iranian food, was now a dark and dingy, smoke filled room full of younger customers puffing away on Shisha. Don't get me wrong, shisha is fine, but don't advertise your joint as a classy restaurant online and have your guests find out the hard way that your restaurant is having an identity crisis and trying to be something totally different. I wouldn't eat in all that smoke even if the food was free.

So embarrassing, both for me as an Iranian who has praised and recommended the delicious food at Arch so many times, and also because my friend and I had to scramble to find another place to go to, after this huge disappointment.

R.I.P. Original Arch restaurant.
