TLDR: pros: -chill vibes/atmosphere cons: -food took way too long -lacking taste and flavor -very expensive for (small) portions Flavor/Food: We ordered pizza and pasta. The pasta was pretty good/flavorful and came in small portions, but the pizza was lacking in flavor. The standard I have for pizza is oven-baked frozen Costco pizza (as an American this is a basic pizza benchmark that most restaurants can, and should be able to, beat). I pose this: if I can get better frozen food why should I come to the restaurant? To me, a good pizza to me tastes thick and flavorful with sauce that blends well with the cheese. The pizza we were served tasted more like a plain, flavor lacking flatbread more so than a pizza (for my pallete). Perhaps other people will enjoy this style. Service: Beware of coming here if you are conscious of time (e.g. you are travelling): coming here can take up significant time. We came in as a pair of two and the restaurant was not busy at all (there was only one other table of people). Yet, the pizza took 45 minutes to come out after ordering and our pasta dishes took 1 hour + 15 minutes to come out after ordering. There was minimal acknowledgment of the wait. I could justify the wait if they were understaffed or busy, but neither were the case, and for those that were in there that day were simply only drinking. Cost: Dishes cost around 2,000 yen each. Yet, the pizza is like a small flatbread, and the pasta has relatively small portions compared to something like Kamakura pasta (chain restaurant pasta). Summary: The vibe of this restaurant is that it is fancy without much underlying value. The vibes and atmosphere are cool, especially in a small town. But, core aspects of what make a restaurant good are missing: good value food for the money. Unfortunately, this may be the norm for fancy Italian restaurants in Japan.
