This hotel is very special and truly a four star experience but what stands out most is the entire staff from owners to all staff we engaged in our stay. The dinner was exceptional and every bite was so well prepared. Sleeping rooms were so comfortable and the relaxing spaces all over each level had fantastic views of the bay. Thank you! Service: 5

Our recent stay at the Ardagh Hotel & Restaurant was superb. The family-run hotel's warmth is felt the very second you step through the door. Having a piping hot pot of tea and fresh slice of cake delivered directly to our room upon arrival was such a thoughtful, welcoming touch that immediately set a relaxing tone for our holiday. We stayed in a sea view room that was spotless, wonderfully comfortable, and treated us to gorgeous views across the Ardbear Bay. The location is ideal; you get all the tranquility of a secluded waterfront retreat, yet you are a mere five-minute drive into the center of Clifden. Monique's understanding of the menu was incredible, effortlessly adapting dishes to perfectly match what you were looking for. The morning breakfast was very impressive, offering a wide ranging, high quality selection of dishes to choose from. Monique, Stéphane and all the other staff were fantastic with our dog, showering him with genuine affection and making sure he felt at home. The Ardagh Hotel & Restaurant is such a special gem, and we are so grateful to the amazing staff for making us feel so incredibly welcome throughout our stay." Service: 5

We had another wonderful stay at the Ardagh Hotel & Restaurant. From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome and genuine hospitality made us feel right at home. We always book the lodge at the back because we love the privacy and peaceful surroundings. The hotel is beautifully situated with stunning views, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. The lodge was comfortable, spotless, and well-appointed, and every member of the team was friendly, attentive, and always happy to help. The restaurant was once again a highlight of our stay. The food was exceptional, with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and beautifully presented dishes. The kids absolutely loved the steak—and, of course, the lobster! Breakfast was equally delicious, with plenty of choice and a wonderful start to each day. A heartfelt thank you to Stéphane & Serge, and the entire team for making our visit so memorable. Their dedication to creating such a warm and welcoming atmosphere really shines through. This was our third year staying at the Ardagh, and it certainly won't be our last. We would happily recommend the Ardagh Hotel & Restaurant to anyone visiting Clifden or exploring Connemara, and we can't wait to return again next year! Service: 5
