Overall, an ok experience. I was recommended to try this restaurant, and I enjoy Spanish food so was excited to go. I think overall the food isn’t bad, the appetizer was interesting and I enjoyed the pairing of tuna and aioli, and I think there’s a good amount of food for a lunch course, although I personally don’t really like cheese/ricotta and was a little annoyed about how much there was considering they don’t ask you beforehand if there’s anything you don’t want by being more clear about what they’ll be serving you. So maybe this is a point to improve on in the future for the service staff. Also the service was fine, but I was a little surprised at the service charge - it wasn’t mentioned up front and considering the location and the service I actually received (minimal), I’m a bit disappointed. The atmosphere and furnishing of the shop is nice. It’s not too noisy, very cozy and small. However, the pork was quite plain and a little chewy, and the seafood was not very fresh/quite fishy, and I was extremely disappointed to see the two solitary shrimp on the paella. It feels quite stingy, especially because most authentic paella have more things in them, even small slices of squid or octopus would have been a massive improvement. It feels so weird to have plain paella - it’s like fried rice with only two whole shrimp and nothing else. I do have to say however, it was cooked okay, the flavor of the stock/bisque was very delicious, but I’m a bit sad it tasted nice but didn’t quite have enough of a socarrat. Dessert was nice, caramelized fig and nuts, crunchy and sweet. Also it was exceedingly difficult to get a booking, almost impossible to get in without a reservation. I’d say this is worth a try if you’re in the area but I don’t know if I would want to go revisit - especially considering the lunch menu will most likely be the same again. And the lack of anything else in the paella makes me sad. Price per person: ¥2,000–3,000 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

First visit to Spanish restaurant BARMOS. Assorted appetizers, squid frites, roasted duck, and Iberico pork paella. Appetizers include Spanish potato omelet, carrot rappe, chicken liver confit, sardine escabeche, low-temperature salmon, stewed vegetables in tomatoes, and bonito bread with romesco sauce. A delicious assortment with many varieties. Fritto's squid is soft and delicious hot. The roasted duck is rare and delicious with balsamic sauce. The portions are large enough that two people can eat one slice each and be satisfied. First time trying pork paella. It has a strong flavor, and the soup may be made from vegetables or seafood. It goes perfectly with the taste of pork and is very delicious. I was very satisfied with the beer and red wine.
