Was excited to eat the saté but was also so unexpectedly happily surprised by the ambience of the place. It was very cozy while also being very modern. Aside from the really good sate platter , what really stood out was the amazing service by our waitress Bunga who is so nice and really attentive to our needs. We also enjoyed the snake fruit ice cream afterwards which had a unique texture but was a great first try. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Such a hidden gem in Seminyak. The vibe at Basa Basi is impeccable, and the food is seriously good. They do Indonesian food in a way that feels fresh and creative, but still very much Indonesian at heart. The skewers are to die for. Smoky, packed with flavor, and honestly hard to stop ordering. But the real surprise for me was the gin & tonic. Probably the best G&T I’ve ever had. They have different variations with herbs and botanicals, and every one I tried just worked so well. The owner told me he’s been obsessed with gin & tonic since he was young, so what you’re drinking is basically the result of a lifelong obsession and years of experimenting. And you can taste it. Great food, great drinks, great vibe. Definitely one of those places you want to tell people about, but also kind of want to keep to yourself. Me and my friend recently had the pleasure of dining at Basabasi Bali Restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience. Nestled in a charming location, the ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. For dinner, we enjoyed the delicious chicken skewers and fried tofu. The chicken was perfectly cooked, full of flavor, while the fried tofu was crispy on the outside and tender inside. Both dishes showcased the vibrant flavors of Balinese cuisine. The service was exceptional, thanks to our lovely waitresses, Bunga and Padma. They were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food and service offered. You definitely get your money’s worth here. Basabasi Bali Restaurant is a gem that captures the essence of Balinese cuisine. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious meal in a chill setting. It’s a perfect spot for a romantic dinner or a gathering with friends. I can’t wait to return from Hong Kong!
