I read a review from some toron “supposed journalist” talking about how he was bored with the chef not stroking his tiny ego. And alluding that this restaurant was not worth the price. So i had to write a real review. I will not say that everything in my evening was perfect on the contrary so many things went wrong that in any other restaurant with any other chef and with any other front of house i might write a one star review. However: The food was impeccable no person can judge the food other than the chef. He is certainly a master and creative, his creations reminded me of Japan, and ginza. He had unique pieces which i have never had anywhere else. Do they deserve the one Michelin star they have ? Yes-without a doubt , there is no question that this restaurant is the best omakase sushi in london. Will you appreciate that if you are british or arab and used to meat pies and tikka masala? I do not know. What i do know dear reader, is that you would be privileged to eat here, and you would certainly be unqualified to judge it. In regards to being entertained at dinner( which is is the main complaint of the supposed professional who reviewed the restaurant). That is not Japanese culture, nor is it reasonably acceptable to require from a restaurant. That would be a more subjective personal issue. This restaurant is like Loro Piana ; If you do not know, you will not know, that this restaurant is without doubt one of your singularly best options for real japanese edomai sushi in london without flying to tokyo for 11 hours. Just go , enjoy the food, thank the staff. You will not understand or even be qualified to judge their work. And that is the highest praise i can give a restaurant. I foresee a second Michelin star here . Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I had an exceptional experience at Sushi Kanesaka. The quality of the sushi was outstanding—every piece was incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of delicate flavor. You can really tell the chefs take great pride in their craft. The service was equally impressive. The staff were attentive, professional, and made the entire dining experience feel warm and welcoming without being intrusive. Overall, it was a truly memorable meal, and I would highly recommend Sushi Kanesaka to anyone looking for an authentic and refined sushi experience. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
