There's several places in Alameda to get ice cream, but I prefer this Baskin Robbins (BR). This is the Baskin-Robbins in the Nobhill Shopping Center on Blanding Ave, near the Fruitvale Bridge. It's also the site of the Keanu Reeves sighting, when he was seen here eating an ice cream cone in 2020. My latest visit was on a Saturday evening, after returning from a roadtrip. They still limit people inside for social distancing, and also there's not much space inside. The lady ahead of me was looking at the ice cream cakes, and I wasn't sure if I should step ahead of her. The friendly order taker waved me over, and I asked for 2 scoops in a cup. Now, that 2 scoop container looked small, so I switched to the Triple Scoop. OMG, three ice cream choices.....I went- Chocolate Mint, Pineapple-Coconut, and Jamoca Coffee. Big 'O scoops! Nice and neat. I'm telling you, the cup looked small in the store! When he handed it to me it looked like a huge tub! Good ice cream. Why only 4-stars? Because it's arkward to wait and pay when the customers ahead of you pay and then don't leave the store. The couple ahead of me paid, and then stood there eating their ice cream. I just said "excuse me" and stepped in front of them. Oh well, you can't really social distance inside this store. Located in the Nobhill Shopping Center, at Blanding Ave x Broadway. Free parking in large lot
