I always hear about Batch cupcakes but never ventured out there myself. Holy moly am I glad I finally took the sugar plunge. What a cute little bakery well deserving of its reputation! I tried the cookie dough while my vegan friend had the Andes mint cupcake. We weren't really sure if it was actually vegan but we were satisfied with the flavor. The cupcakes are very rich and delicious. The flavor profiles are diverse and wonderful and will make any tummy a happy one. The location in incline is right in the heart of town and convenient for sure. I just wish the options were more labeled ingredients wise for those who are vegans or health conscience. (No I don't believe in gluten intolerant but it would be nice to know what my friend could have) it seems like the brownies and cookies were clearly marked (A+) but the cupcakes weren't. Otherwise absolutely no complaints for this happy customer. I will continue going to the Batch in Reno due to the amazing sweet treats and give them as little presents for friends. It's always nice to have some sugar!
My husband and I were visiting while on our Babymoon, and I was really wanting something sweet. Being allergic to gluten and dairy, that can be difficult. I found Batch Cupcakery and they had a few different gluten free options. The only gluten and dairy free option at that time was the chocolate vegan cupcake with chocolate frosting. My cupcake tasted good, but was a little crumbly. My husband (who doesn't have to eat GF) ordered the pumpkin cupcake with cream cheese frosting, and he said it tasted normal and couldn't tell that it was GF. The employee was very knowledgeable about all the ingredients and made sure that I was able to find something that I could eat. I was so glad to have found this place, I hope they continue to do well.
I'm reviewing the vegan cupcakes only. They look absolutely delicious, but the gluten free and dairy free products are cross contaminated. The gluten free cupcake had Oreos in the frosting and the guy swore there was no gluten until he went in the back to check the ingredients. The "dairy free" had milk chocolate candy on the top. For those with severe allergies, this could be a major problem. If you advertise as such, better know what you're putting in them. Cute place though!
