Stumbled upon a hidden gem in Chatan—Beer Rize is a must-visit for craft beer lovers. The hefe here is incredible; it has such a rich, fruity profile that feels more vibrant than an Erdinger, leaning closer to the style of an American hefe. Bonus: They don’t serve food on-site, but they are happy to let you bring in tacos from the shop right next door. Nothing beats a cold, high-quality pour paired with fresh tacos. Definitely adding this spot to the regular rotation! Price per person: ¥3,000–4,000

This ended up being the best craft beer bar I visited during my Okinawa trip. Strong tap selection (although I'm not sure why they have so many unused taps). Big selection of bottles/cans from around Japan and abroad, including my favorite New York brewery The Other Half. Strong emphasis on IPAs and Sours. The owner is a very welcoming, friendly guy. He said they used to serve food there, but not anymore. However, on Fridays and Saturdays, customers can order tacos from the restaurant next door.

Craft beer selection that's always fresh, in rotation and served with a smile! Even if you arrive here solo and the place is empty - the owner or bar staff will fire up an interesting conversation. Besides draft (on tap) they have an excellent selection of cans and bottles as well, if you wanna try it out in the store or take it with. Barley wine and occasionally mead also available! Bar food is amazing. Fresh, handmade and the portions are generous. Cannot recommend the pretzel with cheese dip enough. Sausages are astounding. Regarding the prices they are very reasonable, I had several beers food and also bought some cans for later that's why the bill is over 10K Price per person: ¥10,000+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Pretzels, Soft Pretzel with Cheese Dip, Lamb Sausage, Seasonal Vegetable Salad, Assorted Sausage, Roast Beef Vegetarian options: There are mixed smoked nuts, salads and general vegetarian meals available. Dietary restrictions: The obvious ones are wheat and barley, some are oats. There are mixed nuts, cheese dip and pork options available.
