Supermarket chain, reminds me of the Coyote/Roadrunner name. They have a bit of housewares/homegoods to the left and center as you enter is produce/bakery/fruit that's in good shape, and left is the meat, seafood and many aisles of canned/packed/bottled items and sauces and spices. Reminds me much of the Shoprite, and running similar deals ($5 off a watermelon, etc.). Prices on anything non-food are higher, similar to a CVS/Walgreens, so keep that in mind. A bottle of Elmer's glue was $3.99... after sale savings.

A hidden gem for grocery shopping in Edgewater! ACME Markets on River Road is my go-to for a clean, well-stocked, and genuinely pleasant shopping experience. The store layout is intuitive, making it easy to find everything from fresh produce to specialty items. Their bakery and deli are standouts—custom cakes, party trays, and Boar’s Head selections make entertaining a breeze. The staff are courteous and helpful, and I love that they offer convenient services like online order-ahead, grocery delivery, and DriveUp & Go. The pharmacy team is knowledgeable and efficient, and the floral department always has beautiful arrangements that feel upscale without the boutique price tag. It’s open late (until midnight!), which is perfect for busy schedules. Whether you’re stocking up for the week or grabbing last-minute essentials, ACME Edgewater delivers quality, convenience, and great service every time
