A few weeks ago, my husband and I wanted to celebrate his birthday with some takeout. When I asked him what he was in the mood for on Friday afternoon, he said "a hamburger.. and potato salad. Think we can find that combo anywhere?" Lo and behold, a quick search of nearby BBQ joints turned up this gem, only five minutes from our house. We hopped in the car and drove over, and the owner was charming, funny, and just an overall sweet guy. He let us sample the brisket, which was so good my husband changed his order. We both got plates to go (and even a free slice of birthday apple pie!) and really enjoyed the food. It didn't come with BBQ sauce, which I'm not sure was intentional or not, but we devoured it. :) Looking forward to going back!!

Great variety, kills it with the bbq - not over doing the smoke flavor like a lot of places. Pulled pork is one of the best things on the menu, but I really like the variety of burgers. Bison burger?! Yep

This evening we tried Big O's BBQ, Burgers & More food truck off US 79 near Hutto. Good eats. The brisket was moist and flavorful. Tasty sauce. Cole slaw and beans were good, too. Our son had the burger and it was delicious. I'm not sure if it was just the salt, but it had a really good seasoned flavor. Thin cut crispy fries were a great addition as the side. Had fun playing some corn hole while we waited on our food. And Big O is a nice guy to visit with, to top it off. We will definitely be back to try the "and More" parts of the menu!
