Biling is an experience built around storytelling, nostalgia, and Sri Lankan flavours. I loved how they have taken local classics and elevated them into fine dining while still keeping some dishes simple and authentic, just as they should be. We ordered the beef cutlets, which were absolutely delicious. The standout for the table was the beef shank, flavourful, and falling off the bone. The chicken was cooked perfectly, and the fish dish was unique and beautifully balanced. The yellow rice tasted exactly like how my mum makes it. The cocktails deserve a special mention. The Pol Sambol and Achcharu cocktails were creative, fun, and yum!!! The service was warm and attentive. A thoughtful celebration of Sri Lankan food and culture. A good place to entertain foreigners who are looking to experience some of our local cuisine. Nice atmosphere and vibe with al fresco dining as well. The food ticked off most boxes, arrived hot and was fresh. The only caveat is that being Sri Lankan cuisine one is forced to use your hands to enjoy the food. However there is no handwash sink in the premises. It was a case of lining up and waiting to use the one washroom available, to wash hands. No hand wash bowls offered too. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: Rs 4,000–5,000 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Think I’ve discovered my new favourite cocktail bar in Colombo! Went for the first time yesterday as a cocktail treat for my cousin’s birthday. Biling did not disappoint! It was quiet as we deliberately picked an early evening timing and it was a very welcoming atmosphere & the mixologist at the bar- Akshitha served up some very creatively curated cocktails that we both really enjoyed. The lingus patties were v tasty as a small bite. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. They organized a birthday desert with all bells and whistles as a lovely surprise for my cousin! Thank you Team Biling! I will be back soon & will also spread the word . Meal type: Other Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
