Actually a gem in Rodenkirchen, especially with the great music on offer. The food is good and fairly priced. A large list of open wines (6 - 9 € per 0.2 glass)... delicious but too expensive. Good service, ambience: wine packages and wine bottles on all walls, old musical instruments from the ceiling, tables and chairs more of a beer bench atmosphere. But we'd love to come back. The decor is really nice and I really appreciate the regional cuisine. There is a selection from classic Rhenish/German dishes, such as potato and vegetable mash (with your choice of meatball or bratwurst) to Mediterranean dishes. Generally really good. I prefer to go there when the waitress is really nice, quick and friendly, and it's really okay with the waiter too. But unfortunately the boss is usually in a bad mood, hectic, rude and even rude. But as you can read in other reviews, there aren't that many alternatives at Maternusplatz, so we just enjoy what's good here. We visited Bistro Verde during a private birthday party. At this time there was no normal visitor access. We had the bistro with approx. 50 people just for us. Once you've found the bistro (the entrance is in a backyard), it's very nice and inviting. The service staff was super friendly. Drinks were served very quickly. Due to the event, food was served as a buffet. As always, it is difficult to arrange a buffet perfectly over a long period of time. That's why only 4 stars here. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
